Magpie is a symobol of strength, prosperity and success. Magpie is associated with omens, prophecy and divination. This is the 1st time I've ever done a piece this size or with actual taxidermy bits. Usually I've just dabbled in bugs and bones so this was a whole new challenge. It is just mounted on the frame, because I didn't want to crush the feathers and movement and it would have been so heavy. Frankly a shadow box that size is just too expensive. I've had these wings forever but was to nervous to use them. But here we are!
